Enriched Boarding

Enhance your dog’s stay with extra activities.

Take your dog’s boarding experience to the next level with Enriched Boarding, designed for dogs needing more attention, stimulation, and exercise during their stay.

In addition to daily playtime with other dogs, your dog will enjoy extra one-on-one time with our staff including fun brain games with snuffle mats and frozen Kongs, and physical activities such as beach swims (season-permitting), off-property walks, on-property extra play or ball time. It’s all about promoting mental and physical well-being for a happier, calmer dog. Enriched Boarding offers immersive activities that will have your dog returning to you fully “enriched.”

Consider adding a few sessions of training while boarding to build manners, confidence, and leash skills with our expert trainer.

We provide full-body health checks upon arrival and every 4 days thereafter for all boarding services. Our boarding rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-ventilated to ensure your dog’s comfort.

To see what we’re all about, we welcome tours with you and your dog—by appointment, following the arrival of the 10:35 am ferry sailing from Horseshoe Bay. If you have time, make a morning or day of it on Bowen Island. There are beautiful hiking trails (easy to challenging), excellent cafés and restaurants, local galleries, unique shops, and great Airbnb options. Enriched Boarding Rate & Information:

Per night rate, per dog:

$128/night

Add $7 onto Peak Season nights ($3.60/dog/night for multiple dogs from the same family).
Peak Season Dates: December 17, 2026 – January 3, 2027 (Xmas), March 11 – 28 (March Break 2027)

Add training to refine your dog’s skills to your Enriched Boarding reservation. Or, instead of each day being Enriched Boarding, add a few extra activities by booking a Classic Boarding reservation instead of Enriched Boarding, and add extra activities to your reservation.

Training one session/day: $58.86

Extra beach swim: $30

Extra nature walk off-property: $25

Extra play-time outside: $20

Snuggle Tme: $20

Frozen Kong: Peanut Butter or Beef Lean Cuts (or your dog’s own food): $10

Save 50% on trial stays, up to 3 nights. If your dog hasn’t boarded with us before and has possible separation anxiety or other issues, they may need an overnight trial or full day of day camp trial. This is to ensure the Dog Ranch environment is a good fit for their longer stay. Once you fill out an application form we’ll determine if a trial stay is needed.

We encourage all our clients to use our City Group Shuttle Monday and Thursday mornings as it’s the most cost-effective way to transport your dog to and from Bowen Island, especially during tourist season to Bowen. If time and convenience is imperative to your schedule we also offer a custom Door-to-door city Shuttle Service.

We may ask for a Board & Train deposit. We do not ask boarding service deposit. If you have to change your plans, we hope you’ll send your pup back to us in the future.

We encourage tours with you and your dog so we are all comfortable ensuring the Dog Ranch is the right fit for your pup. We prefer tours off the arrival of the 10:35am sailing from Horseshoe Bay either Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and by appointment.

Boarding dogs must arrive by noon (1:30pm at the latest), so they have time indoors and outdoors to get to know the other canine guests and the team.

Rate includes your dog staying with us until 4:30pm on the day of departure (no extra day care costs).

We accept un-neutered or un-spayed dogs on a case-by-case basis. Contact us directly to discuss.

All dogs must be fully potty-trained indoors. We do not train dogs to be potty-trained.

Aggressive or highly reactive dogs are not eligible for enrolment.
